De Tolly Group heeft in opdracht van VMware (!) de Virtual Desk Infrastructure van VMware vergeleken met die van Citrix.
Volgens Tolly’s eigen “Fair Testing Charter” is er wel een poging geweest om Citrix in de test te betrekken, echter “a management representative of Citrix Systems respectfully declined to participate in the test“.
De conclusie moet dus wel in dat licht gezien worden:
The VMware View 3 VDI solution deploys more simply and more rapidly than Citrix Desktop 2.1. VMware provides more comprehensive, efficient image and storage management of virtual desktops. It provides end-users with a quality of experience on the LAN that matches or exceeds that offered by the Citrix solution.
